I have to admit...I will always have hope for a good superman movie.

Wasn't a huge fan of Cavill's. His portrayall was fine, I just wasn't a fan of the movies. Zack focused too much on the visuals. But I loved how they showed a powerfull and strong superman. The colors were too bland though.

I want a "truth, justice and the American way" superman. Positivity and hope. A suit on the brighter side. He never gives up.

This movie is going to suck. Bigly.

That's actually really good casting

I'll miss cavill but I don't know. Maybe Gunn can pull it off

Gunn makes 'fun' movies, but to me the best Superman stuff are the stories that touch on questions like 'what if he did go rogue?' 'how does the world react to living amongst essentially a god?'. Its hard to make good stories involving a character so powerful IMO.

I think Man of Steel & Batman v Superman played that theme to death.

Huge Superman fan but I’m skeptical of this movie. Not really a fan of having a ton of superheroes in the movie and Superman emerging into a world of heroes.

I liked both, I know that's not a popular opinion though

I didn’t dislike them, just saying they’ve already hammered that theme. Cavil deserved a true sequel to Man of Steel.

To your point, I like Superman being the only “superhero” in the movie he is in. It’s what makes his character unique and can drive better storylines.

Gunn was involved in that - it was Brightburn

I think that every new Superman director should be required to first make their own Brightburn. Get that deconstruction out of their system before they attempt their Superman.

I agree - and I liked Brightburn.

I have a slim hope that, since Gunn seems to have known that the Cleveland.com photographer was taking pictures, he threw that joke wig on Clark's head to frick with us.

I'll always give a Superman movie some hope and a watch.
Just bc of the character.

I'm honestly not sure what to expect from this one but I'm willing to give it a try.
Doesn't seem like it will be bland like Superman Returns was. I liked Cavill as Superman but the ton and bland colors of the movie wasn't my favorite.

I'm hoping this will be a Reeves superman with a somewhat modern update esp with the CGI we can do now.

I have HOPE

Don't care what y'all think, but if they've got this boy in full costume going through the motions of the actual "up, up, and away", I am balls deep into this damn film.

The hell with CGI suits covered in ping-pong balls.

Will Reeve, the son of Christopher Reeve, will appear in James Gunn’s 'Superman'!

Agree. Do that and give me the Williams theme and I’m all in.
