Doesn't bother me because Iron Man is actually one comic character that can be changed. Thor can not unless you completely start new. Hulk can not. Spiderman no. Fantastic Four? NOOOOOOO. So on so fourth.

Wonder Woman to be played by a transgendered black Asian dude

My only complaint about this is that no matter how interesting or well written the character turns out to be this is rightfully going to be mocked.
Do you have a great idea for a young black woman who is a genius to take Tony's place while he's at the Betty Ford Clinic?
Great. Have the Invincible Iron Girl and lets see what she's got. By most accounts Ms. Marvel is doing fairly well in sales so the fans will buy female lead books. Throwing a new character into the role of Iron Man with the character design that makes her look like she escaped from a disco version of Bride of Frankenstein isn't going to do her any favors.
They will reap some cheap publicity, annoy the comic book buying fans, and quietly stuff Tony back in the suit in a year or two.

Heck, I think Rhodey was Iron Man for something like two years in the 80's. And at one point the Avengers went back into the past of an alternate time line to get a alternate universe teenage Tony Stark to be I.M. (I think maybe that version's memories are still integrated into the new Tony Stark when they merged the Heroes Reborn characters back into the mainstream books).
So this is hardly a stretch.
