may have been the most confusing movie ive seen

Guy richie mustve been trippin balls for this one....im still not exactly sure what happened even after reading the synopsis

i cant even believe this is a GR movie, just completely off the wall of his usual flick.

and im not sure if i liked it or not because i have no clue what happened
thoughts?

If you put spoilers in your title. I will tell you exactly what happened. That is one of my all time favorites.

Neither did I. It wasn't your typical Statham beat em up movie. It was out there and made you think. Andre 3000 was great in it. Don't understand why people didn't like it, unless it just completely went over your head.

Ok. So you know how Statham was sent to solitary confinement for 7 years. Well when he gets out he ends up being apart of this thing that goes wrong, I can't exactly remember what it was. But it involved both Zach and Avi. They set it up so precisely to the point where when Statham saw a card that said ducked he ducked and so on. Any ways she ends up with Zach and Avi and he begins to play chess with Avi. And Statham explains to him how he got so good at playing chess while playing this old Chess Master in prison. So fast forward. In the end you find out that the two old guys Statham thought he was in jail with was actually Zach and Avi. These were two genius master minds that had planned every step of what would happen to rob Mr. Green once Statham got out of jail.

I took it as Mr. Gold was a metaphor for money. He ran everything. He had all of the money. If I remember correctly you never saw Mr. Gold. You just saw the head lady that worked for him. And what was driving Ray Liotta insane was he's love of money.

I haven't seen it in a couple years now. So I need to rewatch it.

Have you seen Snatch, or Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, or, RocknRolla?

I love Guy Richie's other films but HATED Revolver. I thought Rock n rolla was decent. I read that he had written it as part of a trilogy. I don't know why the rest never got made. I think it would have been cool.
