I'm just guessing why they bothered with a smart Hulk. I thought the one we got in Ragnarok was great.

I think it is valid. He wants to act not grunt. Just like all of the stupid masked heroes that always take off their mask because I guess actors and or directors think we need to see their faces even if they remove their mask in public. Public which has millions of cellphones and cameras all over the place but sure let me take my mask off for dramatic effect even if my identity is captured on the myriad of recording devices.

Technically Maestro is a smart version of Hulk, and he would be fricking badass. There are so many good storylines you could do with Hulk, but not having the distribution rights on a solo Hulk movie really neuters what they can do with the character.
