I saw The Guest (2014) (spoilers)

Fun movie. I’d love for this to get sequels (supposedly it’s always talked about between Wingard and Steven’s wanting to do one but they’re both too stuck in other projects).
I do think it’s a little inconsistent. The movie is at its best when he’s going around being vaguely psychopathic in helping the family.
The movie loses a ton of steam when the military starts getting involved. I just didn’t like it. I didn’t like they turned Steven’s into some invincible thing. And while I thought it was indeed funny, the tonal shift in the last scene felt out of place. The last scene felt like it was out of a Buffy episode.
Also, that brother character needed to die. He got his parents and others killed by ratting out his sister

Loved this flick. Always thought there was room for a prequel with the sub narrative of the military involvement.

Think Steven’s is too old now to pull off a prequel
