So many things about Vision Quest:
Kuch was Jake in Sixteen Candles
Forest Whitaker was a H.S. stud linebacker in Fast Times at Ridgemont High - 3 years later in Vision Quest he was back in H.S.
Daphne Zuniga was Modine's gal pal in H.S. in Vision Quest. 4 years later she was his love interest as Med Students in Gross Anatomy.
Madonna is in the movie singing at a Nightclub.
Linda Fiorentino was in Madonna's video Crazy for You, she was also in After Hours starring Rosanna Arquette who played opposite Madonna in Desperately Seeking Susan.
And Loudain's wrestling coach was in Madonna's Body of Evidence.
And Elmo was in At Close Range, starring Sean Penn, Madonna's husband at the time.

The movie goes out of it's way to make him a very sexually confused person. He is an unpopular weird guy. There is nothing natural about how he approaches women, it is all totally forced and he is trying mask something.
In 10 years he is either someone that goes postal with Unabomber manifesto or comes out of the closet
