How much does winning an Oscar help your earning potential?

I've always noticed when watching trailers/commercials to promote a movie that they never fail to mention that the actor/actress was an Oscar winner or nominated for an Oscar.
How much more money can an actor demand once they win an Oscar?

I think I read somewhere for small indy movies with a big Oscar push can add an extra 20-30% to the box office.

Ask Mira Sorvino and Cuba Gooding Jr.

Winning an Oscar helps the movie's earning potential on its second run in theaters.
Winning an Oscar is a personal award for the actor.
I don't know how much it helps them land the next gig but movie studios sure love to put on the posters and in the Trailers "Academy Award winner..."
But I don't think they really care about hiring Oscar winners...they care about their movie's actor winning the Oscar that year and still being in theaters or re-released for a few months.

This. I’m sure it also boosts the movies earning once it’s released for on demand

Jaime Foxx's oscar sure didn't help the abomination that was the most recent robin hood movie.
