whats up with this show? i saw a commercial that had 11yr old Bruce in a costume. are they basically making him a child version of Batman instead of going on his training journey?

The show's producers have stated multiple times that they are not following canon. This is an alternate timeline of the events leading up to Bruce Wayne's donning of the cape and cowl.
Characters who should be alive when Batman first arrives on the scene have already been killed off, and characters who should be friends are actually foes.
