You're not wrong at all. To Marvel's credit, they have build up their world to such a beloved entity that every movie they put out is going to receive critical and popular success whether the movies are great or not. GotG2 was a fine movie with some good moments, but it was not all that special. Same with Spiderman if people are being honest.

How can you not love Gotg2 when the villain ' s evil plot is to go around the galaxy, frick alien broads, and try to make the entire universe into himself. Great storyline for a guy called Ego.
Plus, Yondu. I didn't feel a thing when Quicksilver was killed in AoU or Freda in Dark World, but Yondu seriously choke me up.

I just saw Vol 1 and Vol 2 for the first time and watched them back to back and enjoyed them...
