FMJ is very average for a Kubrick film. He just has so many other movies that are far superior in every way to FMJ, such as Barry Lyndon and 2001

it's hard to compare the two. it's definitely an abrupt shift in rhythm, which I didn't mind. it's almost like two short films in one, with one character linking the two.

Probably middle of the pack. Which makes it great, but it's behind Paths of Glory and Dr Strangelove, making it his weakest war movie.
