That was really bad.
The cameos of Joe Buck and Colin Cowherd - awful.
Whoever greenlighted that show will be done at Fox.

Fox is desperate to get more black viewers. I can't believe they didn't let Empire lead Pitch in.

"let's take the world's most boring sport and have a cliche storyline based around it"
"Brilliant!!"

at you for watching it. Unless you had to because of a lady. In which case, still at you.

Because they were more interested in pushing an agenda rather than writing a good story and developing characters.

I was surprised to learn on IMDB that the dude who created this also created This is Us, which looks infinitely better.

So which was a worse butchering of a Futurama plot, this or pixels?

You don't make a show about baseball if you want black viewers.

Ok, I'll be the guy that says I actually thought it was pretty good. I'm not sure how long they will be able to keep it interesting, because like the guy says, they will figure out her gimmick pitch. But I thought the lead actress was really likable, Ali Larter did a good job in her role, the dad was awesome, and Zack freakin Morris stole the show.
The production value was through the roof, and honestly I thought they did a good job of making this premise somewhat believable and she seemed to deal with the whole situation in a pretty realistic way.
Again, not sure how they'll make it last over the course of the season or multiple seasons, but I thought it was a good pilot.
This review from the Hollywood Reporter hit it on the head imo:

That's probably the only false note the actress hits in what ought to be a star-making performance. Ginny's in a position of great pressure and Bunbury finds both the confident swagger and the fragility, carrying both traits through her physicality and her line-readings. The camera loves her and spends most of the pilot trained closely on her, but she's also generous when it's time to let Beach or Gosselaar carry a moment.
Working in a tried-and-true genre means that lots of the characters come from archetypal places, but I'm already liking the work Lauria, Larter and McRae are doing and I hope for more from Meagan Holder, who plays Blip's wife and Ginny's friend, perhaps the most unexpected and new dynamic in the show.
Like Fogelman's NBC drama This Is Us, the Pitch pilot ends with a twist that doesn't enhance anything and, in fact, made me concerned about how the show might be structured moving forward. There are a lot of stories still to be told and it will be interesting to see how Pitch navigates the pilot-ending twist, an inevitable shift to being "not just about baseball" and the challenges of whether or not future episodes can push as many buttons and push them as effectively as the pilot does.

You people are monsters. How DARE YOU question the quality of a Mark Paul Gosselaar vehicle?!? Or the quality of his beard?
What's that? No one made fun of his beard yet?
Well.
Anyway...watch yourselves...

Fox really went all out. They named the lead of their impossible unrealistic female agenda show Ginny?
I love Ali Larter, shes one my my favorite 3 women in Hollywood, and Zack Morris is back, that's intersting, but there is nothing from the previews that made this show look intersting.
Why not choose a sport a woman is physically possible to compete in? Like bowling? Or Nascar?

How was it in terms of baseball accuracy? I mean, aside from a female pitcher.

I don't understand the target audience. Baseball fans? Brothers? Feminists?
The Venn diagram there is tiny. Awful concept that was never going to win.

the dad actually pointed that out. then taught her to throw a "screwball". an mlb pitcher with 1 pitch. there are only so many Mariano Riveras out there.
