Was better than i expected, and the only question at the end of it all is Luscious, is he alive or dead?
The actors were superb and a lot of it was closer to the actual history than what I expected. Even the end of season 2, though rushed waa good.
Luscious putting Mark Anthony's Roman armor back on after his death so that the soldiers and Octavian couldn't see what he'd become in and of its self made this show worthwhile
Shame they quit making this show.

My interpretation is that Lucius died. I would love for it to be otherwise.

In a perfect world, “Rome” would have played longer. It was an island of quality in a sea of bullshite tv programming at the time.

It has a legacy, though... it was one of the first BIG budget series created for a cable network, certainly HBO. It showed that you can do a “big vision/world building” show on HBO. The learning process of Rome made GoT possible, in my opinion.

Vorenus was an awesome character. Wish Rome lasted longer. They had to rush a lot and omit a lot in the second season. Very expensive production at the time. First HBO series I actually watched live.

Great sets and look. Great score. Best part was the cast. They were great. Caesar, Antony, Vorenus, Pullo; all done really well.

Yes the actors did an amazing job.
This show makes me wish HBO would do another historical show. Maybe something about the Peloponnesian war.

I always warn people that they won’t see the big battles in Rome. They used their budget on the sets. The characters would return from battle and describe how huge it was. :)

It was almost like a non-retard Forrest Gump set in Roman times.

Vorenus and Pullo are always the center figures, and they're around from some of the most major historical events in Roman history and world history.
