Its principal cast consists of Ewan McGregor, Carrie Coon, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, David Thewlis and Jim Gaffigan. The season will consist of ten episodes. As an anthology, each Fargo season possesses its own self-contained narrative, following a disparate set of characters in various settings, albeit in a connected shared universe.
The third season is set around St. Cloud and Eden Valley, Minnesota in December 2010. Hawley said, "There are going to be connections, the way the first year was connected to the movie and the second year was connected to the first". McGregor plays the dual lead roles of Emmit and Ray Stussy. Emmit is a handsome, successful self-made man, while his younger brother, Ray, a parole officer, blames Emmit for his misfortunes. Their sibling rivalry leads them into a world of murder, crime, and mobsters. Coon plays the lead female role of Gloria Burgle, Eden Valley's chief of police.
Season 3 began filming in early 2017 in Calgary, Alberta.

Beyond excited. Last season was some of the best television I've seen.

Super pumped. Just heard an NPR review, and it sounds great.

Besides the name, does this movie have anything to do with the movie? I've been thinking of watching the show from the start, but was wondering if there were any tie ins to the movie.

There are some references to the movie, but you don't need to see the movie to follow the show

AMC needs to stop fricking around and make an app for the Amazone fire devices.

Yes.
eta: Although, you're doing yourself a disservice by skipping them. Best show on TV.
