Last year I think it was Suddenlink and ESPN had contract negotiations right at the beginning of the 2023 football season.

How long were you all without ESPN before they finally agreed to a new contract and you got it back?

Yeah I’m annoyed

Looked into getting YTTV but I’d have to pay 340 to break my directv contract at my apartment ( found that out today)

Hope maybe by the end of the week as directv feels the squeeze of everyone canceling

I may get YTTV and then drop it when Directv gets the ESPN and SEC channels back. If it takes a month or two for them to negotiate it might be worth signing up.

Spectrum was off a month. it was a landmark deal that all these carriers will be going through when their contract is up. Now its DTVs turn.

they want them to accept a 100% increase in fees plus take Disney Plus and Hulu and offer it to customers. The thing is the want to have min take rates and retention rates on the streaming services or DTV/Spectrum have to pay Disney a fee. They are the huge bully and these companies have no choice but to bend over

Thanks I knew it was someone getting screwed last year at this time. Hope it doesn't take long for us. I don't want to rely100% on streaming.
