I dont care about the tomato meter. This is not a movie for critics.

What does this mean?

Critics love Finding Nemo, they love Guardians of the Galaxy, they loved The Dark Knight, Rises and Begins. Critics love The Revenant. The 40 Year Old Virgin. John Wick. Terminator 2. The Room. All shapes, all sizes. So what does a movie "not for critics" mean?

Heroic Hollywood (el mayimbes website) gave it an 8.5. Finally something decent

It means that critics don't speak for us. Some of my favorite films have rotten scores. I've never cared about RT scores.

Well at least meta critic values "mixed" reviews unlike RT.

USA Today: New Heroes Shine in BVS

That's a big review.

I don't care either. But saying it isn't a movie "made for critics" doesn't mean anything, hence the question. There's no such thing as a movie "not made for critics."

And critics, the good ones, do a pretty damn good job of articulating a movies merits anyway, so although they shouldn't completely control your entertainment, they do often give you the vocabulary to talk about it.

It's not the score that's important fwiw.

I always prefer Metacritic to RT, but RT seems to be the standard

Same here, but for some reason people love the binary feedback RT provides. I don't enjoy it.

Meta critic is always better. I just recently came to this conclusion.

If a critic on RT gives it anything less than a 3/5 or 7/10 then it's automatically rotten. It's a broken system

Bingo.

I've always thought that 5 should be an "Average" Film and a 10 should be a perfect film. I've found MC to be MUCH closer to those ratings that nearly any crowd pleasing film on RT to be like 98%. On that note...

Metacritic is better for evaluating quality, RT really for crowd satisfaction.

Unbelievable. Forbes has dogged this movie for months, downplaying the expected grosses and trashing Snyder's choices.

Now they give it a glowing review: LINK
