Dolby Cinema vs IMAX?

It’s a crime these can’t be combined. I usually go Dolby for the audio but I think for Tenet IMAX is the move. Thoughts?

I think you should see it in both and then compare.

That way you see Tenet twice.

I don't need my ears to bleed but a panoramic picture can't be beat.

Some people see movies for the sound; I see them for the picture quality.

I had a friend in college who had a crappy 27-inch Panasonic TV but shelled out 4 grand for a subwoofer and surround sound (which he could never use because of neighbors.)

But I get it...there are picture people and there are sound people...who would've hated the 1920's.

Last time I saw a Nolan film in Imax (Dunkirk), my ears nearly bled. They had the treble turned up so loud that shattered your cranium. I can only imagine what a Dolby theater would do.

Dolby has better sound quality imo. Loud, but not overbearing. Unless you get to see it in one of the few 70mm imax theaters, I’d imagine Dolby is better in pretty much every way
