So I finally started The Flash and I'll say I'm pleasantly surprised. The acting is much better than your usual DC TV show and it seems like they've found a good formula for television finally.

Now with that I'd like to ask if Arrow ever gets close to it. I tried to start it up since The Flash exceeded expectations, but Arrow is super cheesy. The main actor is way too dramatic. Maybe my view on Green Arrow is tainted because I actually really like the guy who played Queen in Smallville. That could be my issue here.

But I ask you, does the acting get better? Is the feel of the show ever not so cheesy and overdramatic?

Im waiting for a way to watch Flash but I really like Arrow. Took a little bit for them to find their characters but I am a fan.

S2 of Arrow is pretty awesome

What do you think about that Felicity chick?

The goofy, techy, sidekick with the badonk.

She's pretty funny right?

Arrow s2 is on the same level as S1 of The Flash but it's still not as good.

I prefer the flash to arrow. Flash has a more "fun" aspect to it - arrow can be a little wooden and not as much fun to watch.

Everyone likes different things.

My favorite episodes of Arrow were, and are, the first half of season 1. Before the Starling Mini-Justice League days.

Though I agree with most that Season 2 is very good, I would say from episode 9 or so of Season 2, till the end, is really the stronger part of that Season.

The Flash was great at first, hit a lull, and then finished the last 8-10 episodes on an incredible streak.

Whereas Arrow went out with a whimper this past season.

A) Say after me "Comic Book Show". It will always be cheesy.

B) They said before season 3 he would start turning into the comic green arrow with the quips and general attitude. Except....he made 1 fricking quip the whole season.

Edit: sorry guys

C) Supposedly next season will be more light hearted and fun. Trying to pull back from the "darkness" in season 3 a bit. Which hopefully will keep them from being overdramatic. Because the last 6 of season 3 were......whew. Hormones and tears and attitude everywhere.

I'm rewatching S2 of Arrow right now and imo it's the gold standard in terms of comic book TV shows. Especially the 2nd half which is just epic

I'm very confused by this thread. Arrow is a great show that started off more grounded. It began to jump into the typical comic book supernatural type stuff in the past two seasons. Overall I find that it is a much better show.

The Flash was very hard to watch for me, and I quickly lost interest. Honestly, I'm not a fan of some of the cross over stuff they did in this last season of Arrow.

Not really, I am simply telling you they didn't do what they said they would. How is that a spoiler?

he didn't include the spoiler in his quote. it is the next sentence following his quote in your post. and yes the death of a character is a MAJOR spoiler
