Comic Con buzz was it's not so good. Like 3 movies in one -- comedy; serious; sci fi; clueless.
The early 'buzz' is all bullshite manufactured by the film company. FUNNY PEOPLE was 98% positive on Rotten Tomatoes on the day it was released.
Who saw it??
People that were going to write positive reviews to manufacture buzz.

ok, man if you say so, but it looks like an original, funny, action suspense driven movie, kinda like a new swing version on Robo Cop, in this formula aliens are the central plot. Robo Cop caught everyone off guard with it's originality and brutal action that was capped off with a weird twist.

For what it's worth, Howard Stern was raving about it the other day. He got an advanced copy and was totally blown away, and he'll tell you if a movie sucks.

From the previews you would think it is one big mockumentary with a heavy social lesson. While the social lesson is there, the plot has a pretty good story to follow and not just heavy handed social commentary.
