Have they written a character aside from Dexter and Arthur Mitchell that will actually be remembered years after the show has run its course?

John Lithgow's character is by far the most memorable for me. Greater than the Ice Truck killer. Its kind of ruined it for me when I saw him on How I Met Your Mother the next season. Still awesome though.

I was sad to see Peter Weller go last season. Stan Liddy could've been a great character.

I have no idea what they're doing this season. The religious apocolyptic cult thing is interesting in itself but I'm kinda meh on it.

I don't like the characters they have in place for it. Looks like Mickey Rourke's father and the kid from the failed FOX buddy crime drama last season.

The apocolyptic cult thing is a change, its pretty interesting. I think it's going to be a good season. Masuka's intern is hot! The last season with Julia Stiles was amazing and was better than earlier seasons IMO.

Yea, I don't like the student. Edward James Olmos is a good villian

So I'm not the only one thinking this show kind of sucks now? Though I did enjoy the scene last night between Dexter and his sister talking about Quinn's proposal. In the context of Michael C Hall and Jennifer Carpenter's marriage implosion, it was kind of amusing in a sick way.

I don't know man. I have a feeling this season may be epic.

I've got the feeling that someone, in the dept finds out about Dexter this year. I'm thinking maybe Quinn but then he won't out Dexter because he doesn't want to ruin Deb's new position as Lt. Ultimately I'd rather Deb herself find out. I think its time and I don't want to see that subplot drug on any further than this season.

I felt the same way about Rita and my wish came true. It would make sense for them to kill Deb off if there's any tension on the set between her and her ex hubby. Of course, she'd probably sue them given she can't possibly have any other acting prospects.

Does anyone else think that Dexter going to the Good Shepherd's body shop and then outing himself as Miami Metro and then the thug that happened to show up that night going missing is going to be a little suspicious to Mos Def? I think they're more going to work the angle of Mos actually being reformed & outing Dexter.
