We just finished it yesterday. I don’t think anything will ever beat Broadchurch for me in British cop shows and how good that first season was. But this one comes pretty damn close.

Started this last night with the wife and watched the first 2 episodes. Not enjoying the heaviness of the story but the unfolding hidden layers of the town is keeping my interest. I enjoyed Dept Q enough but that was heavy content also. Q does have light moments which make it bearable. Broadchurch is missing those light moments so far.

If you don't mind period stuff, check out Endeavor as well. It's another good copper show.

My favorite watch from Prime/ Netflix detective shows. I enjoyed Van der Valk also. Ranking the three:

1. Endeavor- set in 1960s Oxford - No longer free on Prime - PBS Masterpiece production
2.Van der Valk- set in Amsterdam- No longer free on Prime - PBS Masterpiece production
3. Dept. Q- Set in Edinburg Scotland/ England- Netflix
