Al has called Bullock a Cocksucker for the first 4 episodes so I'm assuming that continues until season 3.

Great show.
Calamity Jane annoyed the hell out of me though. Especially early episodes.

The preacher is Ray McKinnon who went on to write for Justified, SOA and created Rectify (which is awesome). He was also the second husband in O Brother where art thou.

Swearengen is the man. One of the best characters I've ever seen.
The dialogue can get pretty off in the weeds sometimes. They try to add a Shakespearean element to the dialogue and sometimes it doesn't hit the mark.
I watched seasons one and two and started 3 but never finished it.

really good show, but ended, with out an ending.
Not sure if that was a good thing or bad thing.
Ian Mcshane was f'in great as Al Swearingin.
Honestly, everyone was great, even the people with minor parts, like the guy who played Ferris Bueller Principal.

I don't know if Im wrong or not but I found myself laughing at Jewel. The lady with cerebral palsy is hilarious not like laughing at her disease but the shite she says.

I don't see why people say this because it simply isn't true.
It had quite a clear ending and given the actual HISTORY of the Hearst family, it really couldn't have ended any differently.
Unless you wanted the Pinkertons to descend en masse on Deadwood and go door to door killing every man, woman and child in the town.
It either ends with capitulation or everyone in town dies. Those were the only options.
