It is trope-filled but after 2 episodes I will keep watching. Honestly, I am not sure there is a single theme or plot element that hasn't been done hundreds of times but there is a reason they are copied so often, they tend to work even though they turn no new ground. For me, it is solid so far and has the potential to break out of the box and the NOLA backdrop adds a little interest as well.

I'm watching. It's good but I don't think it will be the hit show like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Walking Dead that AMC is hoping for.

I do like that it is filmed in New Orleans.
