From what I have read on here and what people have told me they get very long winded and boring at times. I want to do the audio version, but they don't entice me based on what I have heard.

Personally, I can't do audio books, but to each his own there.

The first three Song of Ice and Fire Books are INCREDIBLE, imo.

Storm of Swords is probably in my top 3 favorite books of all-time.

Feast for Crows and Dance of Dragons are a significant step back from the first three just because they introduce way too many new characters that just don't seem to draw you in and Dany is being boring as shite in Mereen.

Dotrice has a great voice, but his constant mis-pronunciation of names is a bit grating.

They're thick but amazing reads, the show is a watered down version of the books so if you think the plotlines and twists are crazy in GoT, then you'll really love the amplified version in ASOIAF.

The opening scene in the first book beats the ever living shite out of the opening scene from the TV show.
