But really, that's true. Nice to see Continuum getting good ratings anyway.

The thing that pisses me off about this show is that she has the ability to be invisible, but doesn't use this tactic EVERY time she is about to be in a confrontation.

Anybody watch tonight's ep yet besides me?
I like how you don't know whether Kellog is manipulating Alec... or Alec is manipulating Kellog from the future.
Also... something is amiss in the VPD...AND Liber8 has just split into 2 nasty factions.
Great episode!

The last scene makes it seem like it could go either way.

this is what I think
from the get-go, Kellog was to eager to jump ship from liberate and look after him and his families finance. The dude is all about money, he's no terrorist, at least not like the other zealots. Alec sends Kellog back because he knows his younger self doesnt yet have the drive to be rich, and Kellog is just shrewd and slimy enough to push him in the right direction (as future Alec sees it)
-I'm not so sure what to think of the possible "mole" in the task force
-interested to see that Liberate is forming factions that compete against each other now
I hope they continue to "flash-forward" every week to help put the pieces together. I still have no clue if everything is going exactly according to future Alec's plan to ensure nothing changes, or if he has a true desire to make changes
and besides being Kogame's cellmate, have they made any real revelation as to where he fits in? I may need to rewatch the first season and look for clues/connections
Rewatching the pilot.....
The husband has to know something was about to go down in the execution chamber, which I think we all kinda knew. The one thing I caught was that the nerd said "we thought we were supposed to only go back
6 years but it looks more like 60"
Not sure if thats pertinent but it hints that not everyone was in on the plan with the magic time orange slices

He definitely knew what was going down, that's why he freaked about about Kiera being in there with them.

I hope they expand more on this...It makes sense that they weren't supposed to go back THAT far. Or at least they didn't tell everyone the whole truth before it happened.
Looks like we'll see this cat again in Ep 3:

yeah, because in the episode where they kidnap the old scientist, the nerd says he has the calculations right this time and he's certain that they will all get to the time they were supposed to be. The entire rest of the troupe is in agreement.
But since Kogame seems to have a b-line for blowing up that building at the end of Season 1, I'm going to assume that he (and old Alec) knew all along....mix that in with that brief conversation Kogame and young Alec had when he was tied to that chair...you got to think they were absolutely working together.
also, if in the future, he's part of the governing body, future Alec purposely puts Kogame and his step-brother in the same cell so they can scheme
re theorizing:
1) future Alec has enlisted libera8, given them all the tools they need to "bring down the evil corporations in the past" because somehow, he has insulated himself and actually wants to be supreme chancellor over the whole thing. Liberat8, in effect, wipes out the competition for him
2) future Alec feels guilty about the way things have turned out. Realizes that his step-brother and step-dad were radical nuts, pretends to align with them, sends the gang back to the past with the cop, so they can ultimately fail before the movement gets started, and change the future.
it's so obvious he's pulling the strings, the real question is his motive

Freelancers FTW!
I like that even though this is a "small" show - They've really thought it through well and are making me maintain serious interest.
The one Canadian show besides Flashpoint that's truly "doing it right" IMO.

Yeah, they will be very key in this show...they have unique qualities somewhat like the Fringe Observers at the beginning of the show... That dude just isn't as sly or full of secrets
Remember those days?
what a mindfrick....
so Bobby Fischer could possibly be Alec's dad???? And now mom's actually a bit more on the radical zealot side than not?
fricking hell....it's getting increasingly more and more difficult to keep this all straight.
Not a fan of at all of the names of the gangs, who can remember that shite? Alliance League, Conferdate Brotherhood, Daughters of the Revolution....whatever the frick - give the two competing gangs some distinctly different monikers so I can keep this shite straight.
Nice to see Jack Bauer's ex-partner Curtis has gone all Stringer Bell on Vancouver and united the gangs a-la Lucy Liu style. And the whole split inside Liberate, I did not see that coming at all. I kinda wish they hadn't introduced the notion of "freelancers"...I think it may only serve to clutter up the storyline and not enhance it. And, please stop the flash-forwards of anything involving Keira, very very little of her backstory has ever served to help fill in plot holes. To whereas pretty much every flash of every other character has been crucial to putting together the pieces of the puzzle.
dead sister....hates drugs......and.....how does this help?

I disagree...for now though. The different gangs and their names are pretty dang annoying though

Couldn't agree more. The sister flash forward was pretty dumb. It also seems like it was added later and forced to add to her hate for the "new" drug...
Where's Yuri on this? She's usually the one who watches the newest eps first.

I disagree...for now though.
I'm already a bit cautious as I dont want to have to follow "freelancers" that can come and go as they please and hit the reset button when it comes to storylines.
or worse, the show gets enough traction, gets renewed, and the writers use this as an out clause to undo something they've already presented to the viewers.

I could see this happening...but hopefully it won't. I wonder if the show has an outline of how they want it to go til the end, or if they are just playing it by ear...week to week...
what a waste of an episode...
so, the coffee shop chick has to be working for Sonya, no? Maybe Kellog? Was there any mention if Alec disabled Travis' brain chip, or is it still on? I'm disappointed they just barely opened the door about Escher......and then she dies.
I hope they pick up the pace next week
