I ordered Batman: The Court of Owls book for my 6yo for Christmas. It comes with a mask and the reviews are positive. Problem is I can't figure out if it is kid friendly.
I know Killing Joke is not, I know there's one where the joker wears a face (his own?) as a mask.
Has anyone read it or any other Scott Snyder graphic novels?

The story is great but as far as whether its appropriate for your 6 year old is up to you. You know your kid better than us. Flip through the pages and if you see anything that may set him off then don't give it to him.

Imo, it's not as graphic as the Joker story that you're referencing but there are moments. The language won't be an issue so you don't have to read it. But you should. It's good.

It's pretty dark. I wouldn't say it's disturbing or anything, but it is violent as hell, and has clear depictions of torture and murder. Great book though.

"Hush" would probably be a safer pick for a 6yr old

They are all violent. Even Year One is violent.

Hush is a great book.
