I loved Season 2.

One thing bothers me. Did anyone think the cheating scenarios got resolved a little too quickly?

Liz cheats on Derek and they’re back to normal two episodes later.

Alice cheats with Summer’s boyfriend, Liz’s son Connor, and it’s like it never happened 3 episodes later.

I’m not sure a girl as capricious as Summer would befriend Alice like that again so quickly. And I would’ve liked to have seen more tension between Derek and Liz at least through the Tgiving dinner.

Thoughts?

I think if Liz would have done more than kiss the dude, it would have been much harder on Derek. Also Derek is a super nice guy and you could see his pain, but he was going to forgive Liz.

The Alice and Summer stuff, she did make the cheater cheater cheater bitch video that ends up being part of Alice’s contrition. It did wrap up fairly quickly, but they also kind of only have each other in some ways, so a long term grudge was unlikely.

That’s kind of how I took it and I’ve done a couple of rewatches.

There's an implication in some of the episodes that a decent amount of time passes between certain episodes, some of them a couple of weeks.

But yeah they do resolve it quickly.

In that sense, it has throwback sitcom elements
