Not exactly. Bugfalo Bill (Jame Gumb) was thouroughly researched by Thpmas Harris, who said in am interview that Ed Gein was the primary influence. Unlike the other character listed, both Gumb and Gein collected the skins of women, hoping to make clothing out of them
