New show on Syfy

First episode was pretty creepy. The show left the viewer with a ton of questions and really pulls you in. Kinda gives me the feeling that the premise is similar to the the movie it.

It's weird seeing the guy Parks and Rec fired in this roll.

"channel zero" means something entirely different to those of us of a certain age.

I dig it so far. Tooth creature freaked me out. Lots of well done distrusting scenes. I'm definitely intrigued.

I'm 28 so probably missing the meaning. What does it mean exactly?

Synopsis of this show? I'm down to add a good, creepy show to my rotation.

It was Channel 99 when I was growing up... I'm assuming he's talking about "squigglies". When the picture was scrambled and squiggly, but you could make a titty or an arse every now and again. It was how all of us pre-internet kids watched porn.

quote: "Candle Cove”, the first season that consists of six episodes, is based on Kris Straub’s unnerving “creepypasta” short story that gained notoriety on the popular horror site. It centers on one man’s obsessive recollection of a mysterious children’s television program from the 1980s – and his ever-growing, dreadful suspicions about its possible connection in a series of nightmarish and deadly events from his childhood.

Boy, I was way off.

I was thinking of the Public Enemy song with the sampled Slayer riff.

exactly! what a great way to grow up. Occasionally a random channel would come in long enough for a titty or arse shot, but when that happened it was as if you won the lottery! I remember a sleep overs we'd search the high static channels late at night and if we saw any kind of glitch or indication of an image behind the channel snow, we examined it like Sherlock Holmes.

That's how we learned patience, kiddos.

Oh okay lol well yea I was in that generation too. I remember right at like 10 o'clock Cinemax would air 5 minutes of uninterrupted soft core. Then it would scramble out with a semi shot of clarity every other minute or so. It was most riveting entertainment a boy could possibly hope for lol.

It's amazing how well a little glimpse of nipple worked when I was an adolescent.

Today I've got 32 browser tabs open searching for just the right Asian squid porn.
