The main thing with Loki for me is that the actor did an amazing job. He stole every scene in three different movies. His scene in Thor 2 in tge cell talking to his mother is amazing and top five MCU moments for me.
The character himself is ruthless when need be and could trade banter with any of the heroes.

Avengers 2 should've been R rated and absolutely brutal. Ultron could've been the greatest villain ever.
