Some did. But with Mike doing background checks I felt the theory was far fetched. Mike is way to thorough to miss something like that. Mike doesn't make mistakes. He is the biggest badass on the show. If he doesn't get shot up in Mexico and have to stay at the "hospital", then Walt probably doesn't get a chance to kill Gus. There is no way that Mike would screw up a background check imo.
Now after saying all of that, I probably just jinxed the shite out of him.

I will be thoroughly upset if they kill Mike off. His speech about half measures is still one of my favorite scenes in the show.
