BB14 is underrated. Of all the seasons with vets it's easily my favorite.
Ian night one going full fan boy and crawling under furniture because he was just so damn excited to be in the house.

Great season, but I just hate how pissy she was towards Dan at the end. I get why Dan lost, but I still think that it was ridiculous. The guy deserved to be a two-time champ.

Dan knew he wouldn't beat Danielle or Ian so he decided who he wanted to win $500k.
He knows he's the only player to never be evicted and to make final two twice. Now he's a professional gamer who enjoys what he's doing.

Yeah, that's revisionist history. He had positioned himself to be taken to the end by either Ian or Danielle, but it's not like he let Ian beat him in the final three because he wanted Ian to win.
I think that season is a great example for why they should return to a pre-taped, edited version of jury questions like they used to have. In the older seasons, a contestant had time to really lay out their game for the jury and answer serious questions in depth. Now it's pretty much just lip service and unlikely to affect any votes.
If Dan isn't trying to speed through everything and can actually engage with the jury a few days before the finale, the end of that season could have been done.

He voted out Shane because Shane would have never taken him to the final two. So, in his mind, he's thinking I am going to vote out the person who guarantees that he'll go to the final two (because both Danielle and Ian would take him).
Kind of like Derrick in Season 16 - he positioned himself so that no matter who won the final three HOH, he'd get to the final two.
