Nah. It was the perfect move. He knew the vote would be 6-5, so saying 2 would flip would have made him incorrect. I bet him and Tyler talked and planned that. Now instead of the other side pretty much knowing it was Tyler who was the one who flipped, there is that shadow of doubt casted. Tyler can now deny it if he wants, and still hold his position firm. That's why I think Tyler was behind that speech. Tyler has been a step ahead of everyone this entire game.
Now that Winston is gone, Tyler and Brett could be a Will/Boogie type duo.

Only bad thing is that I can see Sam telling the two people she will nominate that she is putting them up and they will have a chance to come back, before the nomination ceremony. This may stop Bayleigh from washing out her power.

I get that. But then the assumption is just that one of them got cold feet after he called them out.
I seriously doubt anyone on that side believes it was Rockstar so they are going to suspect Tyler.
If he had said Angie, Kaitlyn, or even Haley, then he would have the people he called out saying well it wasn’t me so it must have been the other one.
Hell even throwing out that Kaitlyn voted out Steve could destroy her game with the other side. That absolutely has to be used against her at some point.
