Is anyone going to catch the Big Brother edition of The Price is Right that is coming on at 7:00 tonight? I probably won't watch it when it comes on, but I'll definitely record it.

I'm watching it right now. God I hate Frankie soooooo much, I will be extremely upset if he's brought back for an All Stars season. Got a lot of joy out of watching Davonne lose.

So I'm not too upset about not auditioning
Graduated and got a sweet job out in Kenner, so it all worked out. Wouldn't have gotten this opportunity if I was on Big Brother

I still wish I would have gone. I think I'm too chill to ever be picked though.

Big Brother is recruiting mock houseguests. Other BB's in other countries have done this before to test camera angles after house redesigns. Hopefully this means we have a new house.

We have received very interesting details that Big Brother production is actively recruiting “Mock Houseguests” for a week long BB18 experiment that has my heading spinning with possibilities.

Another spoiler that has been floating around is that the Power of Veto will get a facelift, and have special new powers. Apparently, the winner of the veto, if they choose to use it, will have the power of renaming the nominee, not the Head of Household. It could bring excitement to a game that has been predictable the past few seasons.

As of right now, the only thing we know for sure is that there aren’t enough all-star players to play to dedicate a whole season. It seems highly plausible that it will be a mix of all-star and new players and could have a theme of ‘Superfans versus Villains.”

I don't. Either have a full cast of all-stars, or a full cast of new fans (but with absolutely no more recruits). If you have a mixed group, then more than likely the all-stars will team up since they probably have met each other doing BB events. That, and they've been in the house before so they'll have an experience advantage with the stresses that living in the house produce that fans truly can't understand until you've been there.
And if they throw a theme on it such as "villains", then we could have some of these all-stars coming in trying to play a part or character, and that would get old fast.

Really hope the veto rumor is true.

pretty good Q&A interview with derrick, j-roy, rachel and tGOAT danielle
this 30 people going in rumor seems to be popping up everywhere. I like that idea. you have to earn your way in the house. separate the true fans from the recruits
quote:
Levasseur: It’s more likely to be a half-and-half than it is all-stars. What happens with all-stars is you have people who are at different points in their lives and unable to do it. To get them all in on the same season is really difficult. If they find eight people who are entertaining and couple them with eight new people it makes for good TV. I was a fan of season 13 and it was unfortunate Evel Dick went out the way he did because it would have been a completely different season. There was talk about having 20 or 30 houseguests the first night on the show and they’re going to compete and 15 or 16 will get in. That’s awesome. It’ll separate everybody right away. Stick everyone outside on an ice cube and if they want it bad enough they’ll be there all night. I know a bunch of people who work in production, and we’re going to see something really special this year. I don’t care how cool you think you are with production, unless you’re in production you don’t know anything.
quote:
Reilly: I’ve heard there’s going to be some returning houseguests. It’s going to be some sort of returning players versus new players, not as a coach and not what we did in season 13 where we were duos. There might be 30 people that compete to get in so it might be a season where you have to really want it to be able to stay in the game. I think they’re going to have a twist where you have to give stuff up or do a competition and they’re going to make you really want it. I know in Big Brother everyone talks about how Derrick played such a great game, but it’s more fun for me to watch the people who are there to compete because they’re the people that give us entertainment. As much fun as it is to see Derrick be everyone’s best friend, it’s not as exciting unless he has to save himself every week, which is what Dan Gheesling had to do.

Yet again, another year, another twitter account with spoilers. Last year's spoiler twitter account was about 60% accurate. Here's what they have to say this year:
28 players (14 veterans, 14 rookies) will move into the house. They will be told that 1st impressions are everything.
After some amount of time (likely an hour, details haven't been revealed) the returning players will play a new competition, dubbed "Fight of Your Life" or "Fight for Your Life." It sounds like it will be a trivia-based game revolving around past seasons of Big Brother, with each player earning a spot in the game, permanently, once they reach some milestone in the competition (for our sake, let's assume 3 correct answers).
When a player earns their right to enter the game, they will also choose one new player to enter the house with them.
This means that, like in Big Brother 14, production will send invitations to the players, instead of keys.
Eventually 8 returning players will earn their right to enter the game, each bringing a new player, for a cast of 16.
There will be another "Fight for Your Life" competition sometime in the season. Don't know when/what it will determine.
Nobody who has won the game before is in the potential cast. Also, no 2- or 3-time houseguests are in the pool either.
John Mcguire of #BB17 and Brian Hart of #BB10 will both be in the original group 14 returnees, as speculated.
Also in the initial pool of veterans are two houseguests from #BB12 (a pre-juror and a juror).
Also in the initial pool of veterans are two houseguests from #BB14 (both jurors).
I do not know how many players from #BB16 are on board, but I do know this season will not include Frankie.
Despite a lot of speculation, Vanessa Rousso of #BB17 will not be on the season. I don't know if she was contacted.
There are no representatives from #BB13. It is the only recent season without any returnees in the initial pool.
There will be a new twist to the have/have-not system. Producers hope this will force have/have-nots to factor more into the houseguests' gameplay than it has in recent years.
America's Player will make its return this season. I do not know if it will be for the entire season or just a portion.
Battle of the Block will not be a central twist. However, producers are considering using it as a Pandora's Box twist.
The old key wheel, despite its popularity within the fanbase, will not make its return this season.
There will be a twist involving the Power of Veto sometime throughout the season. I have no more details on it.
there will be at least one representative from #BB3, #BB5, and #BB6.
Number of returnees from each season:
