Most definitely. It makes zero sense to me that Elissa would want to join with Amanda. They clearly don't like each other. It goes directly against the two people she has aligned most closely with (in her mind) - GM and Judd.
For someone who has shown complete apathy towards the strategic gameplay, I cannot comprehend how she would conclude this deal benefits her. Hopefully Andy sticks to his new alliance, but in no way would it surprise me if he flips back.

What would happen if a houseguest basically told production to frick off? Like if they came to elissa and said "well give you 10K if you partner up with amanda and make a finals deal" and she said "Absolutely not, I hate her. I'm playing my own game"? I mean obviously they can't just kick her off the show.

This. Elissa has no idea about the Exterminators alliance so she probably thinks she's good with Andy. Would be hilarious if they trade jewelry and she has no idea she doesn't have the votes.

I imagine the contracts they sign have some sort of non-disclosure in them to prevent folks from talking about the behind-the-scenes actions of the house. Probably explicitly states that the producers can do whatever the hell they want to as well.
But yeah, if this plays out with Amanda staying then I'm writing the show off completely. I also realize the ridiculousness of caring so much but damn.

Pretty sure Russell Hantz got into some trouble because his wife was supposedly spoiling Survivor. That and none of them in either show mention the inner workings of the respective show.
Let me say this too, production manipulation works both ways as it has helped keep some of my favorites in the house. Jeff with the Diamond POV and I know I will get killed for this but Dans funeral was blatant manipulation. No way he should have stayed. And Dan is my favorite HG, player wise, of all time.
