I have a big problem with the character development in TDK, mainly when it comes to Harvey Dent.

Not once in the movie did you see anything but a good wholesome champion of the people. No lapses in emotion, no uncontrolled anger, nothing. Then he just flips and becomes some deranged homicidal maniac who doesn't go after the Joker (who killed his fiance) but after Gordon's family? That's weak. Nolan decided to throw that in there at the end to give the movie a more dramatic ending, and it failed.

What he should have done was killed the Joker and let the 3rd installment be about Twoface- The reminder of Batman's failure.
