I clicked to one of those Ranker type lists, this one was "Films you didn't know that were remakes." Turns out that Dirty Rotten Scoundrels was a remake of the 1964 film Bedtime Story, featuring David Niven and Marlon Brando. I didn't think much about it but had some downtime the other day and searched to see if it was streaming. I found it on DailyMotion (which means you'll need to watch it online, with commercials). Not sure why it's not available on DVD or streaming, possibly because it was produced by Marlon Brando's company.

The majority of Scoundrels follows the original to a T. I won't give away the ending of Bedtime Story, but it's different from Scoundrels. I think the remake has a better twist to end the film.

It's a good watch for an early 60's film. One of the cowriters was Paul Henning, who had created the Beverly Hillbillies and would go on to create Petticoat Junction and Green Acres.
