I remember the show, I was pretty young but I didn't know it had this much talent.
its almost like the comedy version of the '95 Cleveland Browns coaching staff. Marking this doc down to check out

quote:
Imagine you’re starting a sketch comedy show, one that will debut on network TV in prime time. Of course, such a bold, probably misguided, idea requires a big star, maybe one who became the centerpiece of “Saturday Night Live” and starred in a summer blockbuster. Fine, done.
But such a series needs performers and writers too, so let’s hire a staff. Does Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Louis C.K., Charlie Kaufman and Robert Smigel sound like a good start?

I always thought Carrell’s first break was the daily show

Saw it last night and enjoyed it. Don't remember seeing it when it aired, so I'll have to check out the eps on Hulu. The "practical jokers" clips were cracking me up

Is that where they’d pay for shite and run off? that’s the only skit I remember from that show

Yeah, that's the one. Carell's insane laughter when riding away is contagious, lol...I'm gonna check out the show, if for no other reason than that.

also didn't realize the ambiguously gay duo got its start there.
Feels like they really fricked up by not going with HBO, would have been really interesting to see how far they could have pushed it there.
also Louis CK on why he insisted Jimmy Fallon not be in the cast
