that's not really accurate though, is it? there were some new characters, but the OG cast never really disappeared or did the recurring thing like 90210, except for Andie, which....no great loss. the main story always pretty much stuck with Dawson, Pacey, Jen, Joey, and Jack (quasi-OG)

I think Mitch is gone after S5, Gale becomes recurring. Proper Jim and Cindy disappearing from 90210 memories.

I think it’s more just me not vibing with some of the newbs.

I forgot Chad Michael Murray is in S5

yeah i guess if you count his parents as OG cast then you're right, but they were sort of secondary characters anyways, so losing them was never a big loss IMO.

also, Pacey's sister was hot AF.

S4 finale was really good. Pacy’s brother is an underrated character. Dude was hilarious in the episode where Joey throws the surprise party.

Well baws i finished it up last night

I completely forgot practically everything that happened in the finale.

The scene with Jen holding Jack after he tells her he wants to take care of the baby

Yea i had forgotten how Joey ends up back with Pacey. Thought for sure he’d get the happy ending.

At least Jack finally got a happy ending. And Grams survived her battle.

Wish they hadn’t deleted the Pacey and Andie scene.

Sort of want some kind of reboot one day but it wouldn’t be right without Jen and obviously JVdB.
