Germans, with no pun intended, perhaps but then, saw it over the wkend & regardless of how you might feel about Jews, this documentary shows why Jews as a race can be quite edgy when it comes to taking care of themselves militarily & politically. I have seen most of the films from the camps & the Holocaust, but these in this documentary are the most graphic I have ever seen.Love'em or hate them, but they have a right to be beyond defensive when it comes to their survival.

Did you watch the restored/completed version of Hitchcock's, or the documentary about the making of the movie on HBO? Would be very interested to see the finalized version, but haven't been able to find it anywhere.

I watched the doc on HBO. The concentration camp footage was some of the most graphic and shocking I've ever seen.

Beyond that, I thought the politics behind the documentary were fascinating, i.e., do the allies try to guilt and humiliate the German citizenry for being complicit, or do the allies want to try to mend relations during post-war occupation/fighting against Russia?

Overall I thought it was very well done.

I watched this recently as well. The footage from the camps is as graphic as I've ever seen. Then the soldiers would bring the people from the town through the camp to show them what was actually happening. It's some pretty fricked up scenes.

Watch the film & then tell me what other group has endured what the Jews had to endure. The scene where children were tossed alive into the flames because the crematoria was having problems alone is reason for any "group" to be edgy about their survival. Put aside your hate & look at it unbiased.

No hate involved. A simple question. Where is the threshold if there is one, which you seem to be saying there is?
