A feast for crows is a great book, its just not as good as the first three which are some of the greatest you'll ever read. My only complaint was the missing characters in it but i still couldnt put it down and finished it in the matter of a couple of days. It is a building book much like A Dance with Dragons but it is still badass IMO.
not trying to hijack the thread but does anyone know how long it has been between the beginning of GOT to the end of ADWD? I can't figure it out 5 or 6 years is my best estimate.

Just to clarify, I made a typo above. My point is that A Storm of Swords is one of the best, if not the best, fantasy books written.
IMO, A Feast For Crows and A Dance With Dragons have diluted the quality of the series (A Song of Ice and Fire - and we can certainly discuss as to why but in another thread).

I can't wait to finish this book. I just passed the chapter with Sam and the Old Bear in Craster's Keep, and I already kinda know what happens at the RW.
BTW, the way Dany secures the Unsullied is absolutely AWESOME

I had that death spoiled for me by that character guessing website. Was going for the old bear, and at the end when you view the expected answers, one of the questions was "Does he die a terrible death" or something like that. I was one chapter away at the time

I read nothing about the series online until i finished the books for fear of spoilers. I fricking despise having stories spoiled be it movies, tv shows, books, asian porn etc etc

The other day I accidentally ran across the ASOIAF wiki site. Saw some info about Sansa's future that I assume is in AFFC. Not really that big of a deal. And Jaime is really growing on me (no homo)

Jamie is one of my fav. POVs. GRRM did an amazing character building job in him, easily the most interesting character in the series IMO

Yeah. Where I am in the book, he just reached Harenhal with Briene and got his hand/arm fixed up.

Im surprised you found the time to get on the internet while reading that book, shite i took baths while i was reading it just so i didnt have to put it down to take a shower

I've been mainly reading at work between tasks. I can knock out 5-15% on a good night. When I'm at home I have so many distractions (wife / kid) that it's hard for me to disappear for hours to get some good reading in, so I just try and read at least a chapter before going to sleep every night / morning.
