72 Hours - Netflix

It was ok. Katt Williams fighting Kevin Hart was funny.

I did it again and gave it a go with low expectations.

I made it to the point Kevin gets sick and vomits on all 4 guys, to the extend they all needed new clothes! Come on man, that’s just stupid

No. And the supporting cast was horrific. Hart was Hart, and he can be funny in spots. The plotline set up great to be funny, but so many ‘jokes’ just didn’t hit.

Was the Vaughn, Wilson, Ferrell, Favreau, Reilly era the last great comedic movie thing?

I'm not really one to turn off a movie midway through, even if it's bad. I'm one of those people that has to see it from beginning to end to feel that sense of completion, almost obsessively. I'll even look past a bad storyline or shallow characters if a movie is particularly funny or has other redeeming qualities. I'll even watch a "so bad it's actually good" movie from beginning to end, a la The Room.

This is one of only a handful of movies in my entire life that I've purposely turned off midway through and never looked back.

It's so bad. So so bad. The supporting cast is forgettable, has no character development or emotional attachment, full of "new age bro" cliches and is extremely unfunny. Hart is supposed to be this super old dinosaur that's completely disconnected from the youth of today and has no idea how they act or what appeals to them day to day, at the ancient old age of.... 45? Come on.

Hart plays the same character he plays in every movie or show he's ever been in, which can be extremely entertaining and endearing in some cases (see Jumanji). But with a lackluster supporting cast, bad writing, unfunny jokes that don't land, and a very stale and unoriginal storyline - there is nothing redeeming about this to cling onto and give that little bit of internal motivation to stick it through to the end.

I find it hard to even give it any better words than "it's so bad"
