They should deal one of the lesser starters or backups on the o-line for a nice space eating DT. That's one of the areas where they could afford to lose someone considering all the talent there. If they don't find someone, Beason and Davis are going to find it as a rough year when lienman are routinely getting to that 2nd level vs. them.

Thats a good point, i tend to forget about Gregg Williams.
Being a Panthers and Saints fan is tough. I'd love to see them both in the playoffs.

DTs are also one of the most fungible positions in the NFL so acquiring a middling guy won't be hard.

In 2006 the Saints D was 11th in the leauge, there is no reason that this group, which is more talented and better coached, can't at least match or surpass that. I really can't see why they can't crack the top ten or near it.

The only thing with this is its probably too late to deal players. I think Tyler Brayton could play at one of the DT spots but its much easier said than done, and it won't happen.

eh, brayton was wasted at DT in oakland. it's not so much that they need ANY DT, they need a huge guy who can stuff the run and keep blockers off the LBs. that's hard to come by at this time though.
