And this is why I detest it when people say, "the pussification of America" and when they bash "PC" and all that. No matter how trivial one thinks a statement may be, it hits a nerve for someone else.
Yes, I stepped over the line to make the point. Yes, I have family members and friends who have survived or succumbed cancer. I participate in fundraisers to help fight cancer. So I KNOW how sensitive of a topic it is. Hell, whenever douchebags post here and on other boards complaining about the NFL or (heaven forbid) women's college basketball teams wearing pink, I am always one of the first to put them in their place. My track record shows that.
But my track record also shows that I hate it when people refer to basic manners, decency, and forethought as "the Pussification of America", among other things. So I said what I said to prove a point. It was hyperbole. It was somewhat satirical, kind of like suggesting that the Irish should eat their children.
So I apologize to the guy who is extremely upset, but know that I'm on your side man.
Oh, and how ironic is it that this is a thread where people are wishing VIOLENT DEATH on people whom they've never met, and someone WHO FULLY PARTICIPATED IN THE THREAD gets upset when I made a satirical comment?

wasn't satirical to me but that's me. I love my girl and to see her daily wasting away is killing me.
