Nah. Big Papi is cool. Even Yankee fans like him. Youk, Varitek, Lowell are better candidates.

Hitting 'Tek in the head in Fenway would be an easy way to end up in Mass. General, about the equivilant of Jeter taking one in the head

Sox have advantages in the pitching match-ups on Friday and Sunday, Saturday's about even with Wake vs. Petitte, plus the Sox offense is much better at home, can't wait to see if Lester can mow down the Yanks like at the Stadium

Joba's ERA is 2.52. Overhyped? Sure. Overrated? Doubtful.

You're an idiot pj. A 2.52 combined era is fricking good, that means it was low in the bullpen and it's still pretty low now. Get out of the thread and let the non retards talk.

2.64 as a starter. Nothing I've ever seen from the guy makes me think he'll have trouble on the big stage in Fenway.

ETA: I think he'd do okay in FEMWAY too.

I'll show but you're not very bright. His ERA was around a 2.3 before he became a fulltime starter and now it's at 2.52, I wouldn't say that's overrated at all. You can say you don't think he can handle the pressure but that's completely unrelated to what you came into the thread saying.

He's bound to get shelled sooner or later, not saying that it'll be tonight, but this is by far his toughest road start and if he gives up a couple early runs and the crowd gets going it could be something he's not ready for

I still think he is overated!!! IMO!! Call me what you want!! But he is not the ANSWER for the Yanks this year!! They won't even make the Playoffs!!!
