Brock Parker, guy who beat Daniel heads up, is 2nd in chips in the No-Limit Hold'em / Six Handed (Event 19). This guy might have some staying power.

Ho Gettin' Some
Stud-8 The boards were: Maria Ho: (X-X) (X) Robert Williamson III: (X-X) (X) Picking up the action on fifth street, Williamson fired a bet with a pair of aces showing and Ho called. Williamson bet again on sixth and was called. After seventh, Williamson checked and let Ho do the betting. She did just that and fired. Williamson made the call. Ho tabled ( ) for a straight and a low to scoop the pot after Williamson mucked. Williamson is down to 10,000 Ho is up to 9,000

Daniel making a SERIOUS run for POTY this year.
Has it ever been won by the same person twice?

Since 2004, a Player of the Year Award has been given to the player with the most points accumulated throughout the World Series. Only "open" events in which all players can participate count in the standings. Beginning with the 2006 World Series of Poker, the Main Event and the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. competition had no effect on the outcome of the winner of the Player of the Year award. However, in the 2008 World Series of Poker, the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event counted toward the Player of the Year award.
Year Winner Bracelets Final Tables Money Finishes
2004 Daniel Negreanu 1 5 6
2005 Allen Cunningham 1 4 5
2006 Jeff Madsen 2 4 4
2007 Tom Schneider 2 3 3
2008 Erick Lindgren 1 3 5

That Shootout event has to be the easiest to cash in.. 1000 people entered and the 100 who won there table have already profited 4200.. if you win 3 sit n gos you have a bracelet.

Joe Serock Eliminated in 2nd Place ($341,783); Brock Parker Event No. 19 Champion ($552,745)
Joe Serock raised to 200,000, Brock Parker reraised to approximately 1 million, Serock pushed all in, and Parker called. Serock 1010 Parker QQ Just like that, we were looking at a possible end to this heads-up battle. The flop came A27 , and Parker was still ahead. The turn was the 4 , and Serock already was walking over to shake Parker's hand. The Q came on the river, and Brock Parker claims his second WSOP bracelet in four days!
very impressive.
