My bro in law has played a few times, and the closest he ever got was three spots from being in the money.

He is a lawyer, and obviously has the money to piss away.

My greatest night of poker would be when I played him and 5 of his buddies and whipped them all. They are all lawyers, doctors, and shite like that, and all have played together for over 15 years. One guy, who was pretty drunk, kept calling me a douchebag the whole night. Oh well, he is in jail now for tax evasion.

Phillipo Candio the idiot responsible for this hand is now out.

quote:

Apparently we missed a bit of a monster pot just before the break.
Filippo Candio had about 120,000 chips one hand before the break, and now one hand after, he has just 900 left. We got the details from Chris Lovett, the man who ended up dragging the big pot. Candio was the first raiser, and Lovett was the one doing the shoving with pocket jacks. Candio called off all but his last 900 with , and he'd never catch up. The board ran Q, T, 6, Q, 9 and Lovett had the pot locked up one card early.
Filippo Candio has now drawn the television cameras to his table as he is officially on elimination watch. Lovett has about 240,000 after binking that big double.

wow how do you misplace 8 cards?

quote:

We just heard an uproar from Table #261 as they demanded a count of the deck they had been playing with. Apparently, after 40 minutes of play with the same deck and dealer, a new dealer pushed and immediately felt the deck being short some cards. Then, one of the players at the table demanded a count of the deck and it was in fact eight cards short. One of the players at the table said jokingly, "Yeah, I mean I figured something was wrong when no one was hitting any flops at all."

The player who noticed the deck said, "When she seemed like something was wrong with the deck, I told her 'You better count those cards before you deal them out', and sure enough I was right. The floor just ran away with the setup and gave us a new one, but it's kind of ridiculous you know?"

Another player at the table asked the media members surrounding the table, "What do you think we should get in compensation?" Everyone seemed to agree an apology was in order to which she said, "Not on my watch, we better get something!" The table echoed her sentiments.

The table is now playing with a new deck, and you better bet they are sure they have all 52 this time. If we hear anything else as to what happened to those missing eight cards or where the mystery setup has run off to, we'll let you know.

Just saw that too. Also heard one of the players that got through to Day 3, Pete Lubrano, on QuadJacks radio earlier saying that the the people marking cards was out of hand in the main.
