You're probably talking about Angel Largay's No Limit Hold Em: A Complete Course. Unfortunately I don't have that one in Ebook format. I had to buy it used from Amazon. It focuses on Live Low Stakes Max Buy In NL Hold Em. Which is what I play so it's perfect for me. He actually runs the Vegas poker boot camp so he's a very good teacher and his book is structured like you were taking his classes. Lots of drills, hand examples, etc.

The drill that really helped me was so simple I feel like a fool for not doing it before. It's a simple drill to improve your ability to evaluate a board.

While you're bored or sitting around watching tv instead of playing solitaire grab a deck of cards. Deal out five cards and as fast as you can list the best possible hole card combinations 1-20. Largay says most competent pros can do this in seconds and it's one of the things that separate the men from the boys. While everyone else is trying to figure out what the board means the pros are watching their face as they figure it out.

Some articles he wrote on BLUFFif you want to get a feel for his style.

Now one you might be interested in that I sent Acre is No Limit Theory and Practice by Sklansky and Miller.

A lot of people think it's the definitive book written about the current game of poker.

Oh and Champ is right. The only way to really learn is to play and observe winning strategies. I just like to read and learn as well as watch. Sometimes certain concepts are easier to integrate when you can read the theory and really chew on it for a while. Then you watch a few live games and see it applied by someone you respect and then the light bulb goes off.

Champ and Darryl. Check your email and get back to me.

Oh and Ed Miller currently lives and plays in New Orleans...or he did as of a few years ago. Knowing him he's run off to Florida with all the other southern pros.

It sounds more impressive than it is in practice. Once you get past the full, and straight combos you start listing thing like KT-K2 so it goes a lot quicker.
