infection ... amirite?
Real talk though: has anyone played golf with anyone that plays anything Wilson at anytime?
Why do they keep up the advertisements?
Brief pause...
Seriously.

Now? No, but I did learn to play on some old hand me down WS blades from the 70s. If you can hit those, you can hit anything.

I play the 100the anniversary blades. They are awesome. They feel as good as the Mizuno blades. Also, I work in the golf business and will put the Wilson product against any other vendor. They just do so many other sports that golf isn't a high priority. In Europe they are still very popular.

yep, the wilson staff blades in the 70s were as premier as any other club, but i haven't seen a wilson product in 20 years ...

The Wilson W/S balls are pretty legit for a cheap ball that still plays very nice.

They have won more major championships than any other brand

My bag is all Wilson Staff (except driver). Di11 irons, D100 hybrids and woods, and FG Tour wedges.
Like the poster said above, id put Wilson Staff against any other brand. If you watch any Youtube reviews or read any reviews, everyone says the same thing: great clubs, just less marketing and cool factor. They fly under the radar and dont do multiple product releases every year. They only roll out a new line once a year.
Their FG Tour stuff is worth a look for any golfer. Dont just pass it up bc of the name brand.
Also, the Wilson Staff DUO is a fantastic ball for those that like a softer compression ball. Very forgiving around the green.

Why would they advertise in the US with only Barnes being their tour player? Wouldnt other tour players play their stuff if it matched the other brands?

They have a few more. Streelman and Harrington. Wilson doesnt spend big bucks golf bc they also do tennis, baseball, basketball, etc.
Golf is about marketing. If all things are relatively equal, I would imagine that a player would play the brand that is giving the big sponsorship money.
Following your logic, Adams, Cobra, and Mizuno are also subpar clubs. They're not. Taylor made, Nike, Callaway, and Titleist just spend a lot more on player sponsorships.
The best offerings from any of the major brands will perform similarly. All these clubs are tiptoeing the line of PGA conformity anyway.
