I think the Parcells method needs to be updated from when college teams played 10 games.
but more like he must have a .767 win pct since Parcells wants a 3 year starter. Also should start 90% of his team's games
I'm guessing Barkley still smashes the requirements, just thought about that over the weekend when someone brought up these stats

Yeah, I wonder how hard and fast his rules actually were.
I think he more generally is trying to get at a player who is disciplined, motivated, focused, etc.
Completing college, for anyone, shows a base line level of dedication/committment.
But, like Andrew Luck, for example, didn't finish school, but he was a good student at Stanford, there's really no reason for us to question his "commitment."
I do think Barkley was really the "victim" of simply being around for too long (probably the same for Tyler Wilson and Landry Jones to an extent).
The guy threw 39 TDs and 7 INT and completed 70% of his passes as a junior. That's incredible production in a system that isn't set up for outrageous numbers (like OU, Texas Tech and some others are).
Jones, for instance, had 449 attempts as a career low.
The most attempts Barkley ever took was 446.

It's pretty hard to be as gifted as he is and not get drafted.
Really, really hard.

I'm too skeptical of the system at OU to think highly of Landry. Their QB is basically plug and play at this point.

From everything I've read, Barkley is a good person. It'll be interesting to see how philly treats a QB who will focus on football, and not constantly have drama around the football team.

Yeah, unlike some of his contemporaries from USC (Leinart, Sanchez), I think he's more of a grinder. Guy just loves football.
I think people will take to that attitude. Until he sucks. Then they will hate him just like everyone else.
