Big Win on a back to back against a good team

Great road win! I'd love to matchup with Denver in the 1st round, Houston could handle them pretty easily.

LA is getting their arse handed to them by portland right now. Not good for Wed night.

As long as they get, DEN, POR or NOR in rd 1 I'm good. I'd like to get PHO too, but that's just not gonna happen.

Did you guys just hear the old announcer (not Bullard) talk shite to Brooks?

The Rockets can handle LAL with no Bynum, with him, they just have too much size.
Battier is the Kobe-stopper.

Bill Worrell? What he say?

I feel the same way, Dallas would be nice too, but they'll probably get the 8.

Love to see some of this

Idk, is that his name? He's a huge tool imo. ANyways, he and Bullard were talking after the game and Brooks walks up. Worrell talks about the poor FT shooting and kinda playfully tells Brooks that he shot a better % from 3 than from the line. Brooks laughs it off and as he's walking away starts punching Worrell softly. Like you'd do to one of your boys just screwing around. Well then Worrell says "If Aaron doesn't stop punching me I'm gonna smack him in the face." It just seemed really out of place.

sounds like those guys have a pretty good rapport and were just joking around
Posted on 3/9/09 at 10:49 pm to Boomshockalocka
Yeah you're probably right, but "smack him in the face" sounded harsh. Brooks didn't get pissed or anything.

He's just such a damn homer it gets annoying. When he and Clyde are doing the game it's just too much. Bullard is awesome imo.

Why didn't Deke get in when yao and Luis fouled out. Any ideas why we are not playing him at all?
Posted on 3/9/09 at 10:55 pm to TEXASTIGER22
All I can think is that he still isn't in good enough shape...you've got to think he will play at least a little in the playoffs at some point.

Thought that was the reason we released SF to get him. He is going to need some playing time in the regular season if we are expecting him to play in the playoffs. Plus the guy proved last year he still has it as a backup center. With noone to guard Nene, he should have been in down the stretch

He seems like the kinda guy you could just throw out there for a few minutes and he'd get a couple blocks.

Houston's remaining schedule is difficult so I wouldn't lock them in as a top 4 seed yet.
But they have been playing well lately, and actually play defense unlike 80% of the league.
It will be weird if they win a first round serious with T-Mac sidelined, and I'd feel sorry for T-Mac if it happened. He really deserves much better than the reputation given to him by league wide fans, although injuries caused him to be ordinary this year.
